Elizabeth Cuzner - Director of Kindermusik at LUMC
& Kindermusik Maestro ♫
Elizabeth's first experiences with Kindermusik, were as a parent in a Village class
when her oldest son was an infant. As Matthew progressed through the Kindermusik
program, and Elizabeth's youngest son was starting in the Village classes, Elizabeth
was asked by her son’s Kindermusik educator & Kindermusik Maestro, if she would
like to teach Kindermusik in her studio! With Elizabeth's background in music &
teaching, Kindermusik was a perfect fit!
Elizabeth began her Kindermusik career teaching in the fall of 2004. She has a BS
degree in Special Education with a vocal emphasis as well as 23 hours of graduate
work towards an M.ed in Behavior Disorders and Autism. Elizabeth spent 5 years
teaching elementary school before her children were born, and now continues her
classroom teaching as a substitute teacher at Oakhill Day School when she has a free
moment. Elizabeth’s youngest son, Colin, recently followed in his brother’s footsteps
and graduated after 7 years in the Kindermusik program. “It has been amazing to see
them grow and progress musically over the years! The skills they have learned in
Kindermusik have helped them during their elementary school years in so many ways!”
Elizabeth and the Kindermusik at LUMC studio have earned the prestigious, Maestro
status for the 2008-2009 Kindermusik year, the 2009-2010 Kindermusik year, & now
the 2010-2011 Kindermusik year, earning them a spot in the top 5% of all
Kindermusik programs worldwide!

Jennifer Petty -- Licensed Educator ♫
Jennifer has loved music all her life. As a young child her passion for music prompted
her parents to find a piano so she could take lessons. Little did they know that their
child, who begged to take music lessons, would play the french horn, study music in
college, and choose music education for a career! Jennifer holds music degrees from
Truman State University and the University of Kentucky.
Teaching music to children is her passion. Jennifer feels blessed to have taught
music to children of all ages from toddlers to high school students. Jennifer is excited
to be a part of Kindermusik at LUMC, to help children and their parents learn and grow
together by experiencing music in class and at home. Jennifer’s first experience with
Kindermusik was with her son, Blake, who is currently, enrolled in the program. She
has enjoyed teaching Kindermusik since the summer of 2009.

Lisa Walter -- Licensed Educator ♫
Lisa Walter holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with emphasis
areas in music and special education. She has been married to a wonderful artist,
Mark, for 9 years and is thrilled to be a busy stay-at-home Mom to Joey and Micach,
two energetic (and ornery) little boys who are 2 years apart.
Lisa has lived and worked as a missionary in China for 5 years and has taught in
almost every kind of school and almost every age level. She has enthusiastically
taught Kindermusik since the summer of 2007, as well as private piano. It is with
expectation and joy that she joins our team at LUMC.

Lori Tajchman -- Licensed Educator ♫
Lori Tajchman is very excited to be a part of the Kindermusik experience as a
licensed educator at Kindermusik at LUMC. Here she is able to further her passion to
work in children’s music ministry. As a stay-at-home mom of three, she has been
blessed to share her love of music first with her own three children, and subsequently
with the children involved in her church community, where she has been active in
children's music ministry since 2006. At St. James, she serves as Director of the St.
James Children’s Choir and coordinates and teaches the VBS music program each
summer. Music has truly blessed Miss Lori’s life, and she wishes the same for you
and your children!
